SNAPSHOT NFT HOLDERS: HOW TO DO IT IN 5 STEPS

WHAT IS A SNAPSHOT OF NFT HOLDERS

Snapshot is the process to get a list of all wallets which hold a NFT Collection. So a Snapshot means you obtain a “screenshot” where you can see all wallets that owns a NFT from the Collection we want, this also gives the quantity it owns and the “mint address” of each NFT.

We usually take a NFT Snapshot to get a list of all holders wallets where we will airdrop a token or a NFT.

HOW TO TAKE SNAPSHOT NFT HOLDERS

Before we start, we should know from which NFT Collection we want to make the snapshot to get their holders. Once we know this we need to obtain the “mint address” or the “id” of any NFT in that collection.

In this tutorial, we will use as example “Kitty Cats” Collection, but you can pick the project you want.

Also, you can do a Solana Token snapshot if you need it.

MINT ADDRESS NFT

The first step is to get the mint address of any NFT in the collection, we will do this going to that NFT on Magic Eden. If we scroll down, we will see that address.

Clicking on it we will copy it, you can see on the attached which address you should copy.

CREATOR ADDRESS NFT

Once we copy the mint address, we should go to solscan.io. When we are there we should click the search box and paste the address we copied before to search it.

This will open a new page where we will see a display with all the information of the NFT we are using.

Here we should click on “creators“, then we should click on the blue address with a 0% royalties.

Once we do this we will be on a new page with “account” as header, there we should copy the address under header, it is the same that the address we clicked before.

When you copy it you can go to next step.

HOLDER SNAPSHOT TOOL

To finish and get a list of all holders of our NFT Collection, we should go to “Holder Snapshot” Tool of Smithii (https://tools.smithii.io/snapshot/solana).

When on the tool, we just need to paste the Creator Address we copied in the previous step. After pasting, we will click on “Take Snapshot” Button. Then we just need to wait.

After some minutes, we will have the Snapshot with an option to download a json file with the list of holders.
